Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales became a registered charity (registered charity number 1191069) in 2020. We are also a Disabled People\u2019s Organisation and a member of both the Wales Council for Voluntary Action and Disability Wales.<\/p>\n

We support, inform, educate, and empower girls, women and those registered female at birth (AFAB) in Wales who are living with a range of health issues and who are not receiving adequate (or fair) treatment. <\/span>As \u2018experts by experience\u2019, we and our growing team of volunteers, advocate for women\u2019s healthcare needs locally, nationally, and at a UK-level.<\/span><\/p>\n

We know that factors like race, colour, age, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, being from a marginalised community or experiencing socio-economic disadvantage can contribute to people feeling \u2018unheard\u2019 when it comes to their health. We also understand that these issues can often overlap, creating even more barriers.
