The Women\u2019s Health Wales Coalition brings together over sixty charities, UK-wide umbrella organisations, Royal Colleges and patient representatives in Wales.<\/p>\n

Why is the coalition needed?<\/h3>\n

Women, girls, and those registered female at birth (AFAB) make up 51% of the population in Wales. Despite this, medicine and healthcare services have not necessarily met their needs, resulting in significant disparities in care between men and women, which have only been exacerbated by the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Inequalities can be seen across Wales in the provision of women\u2019s health services, but they also exist in the care of diseases which impact both men and women, with women experiencing comparatively poor outcomes.<\/p>\n

2026-2030 Manfesto: Focusing on the 51%<\/h2>\n

Focusing on the 51%<\/strong>\u00a0sets out a clear vision for a future where the wellbeing of women, families, and wider society is assured. 2022 Quality Statement<\/h2>\n

As co-chairs of the #WomensHealthWales coalition, FTWW and BHF Cymru facilitated the co-production of a Quality Statement for the Health of Women, Girls and those Assigned Female in Wales.<\/p>\n

The report discusses how women in Wales have poorer health outcomes than men and urgent action is needed to ensure they receive equal care and treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n
