\"The<\/a>We were delighted to be asked to write two blogs for The Welsh Fabians, part of The Fabian Society, which is an independent left-leaning think tank and a democratic membership society with over 7,000 members. They influence political and public thinking and provide a space for broad and open-minded debate. They also publish insight, analysis and opinion; conduct research and undertake major policy inquiries; convene conferences, speaker meetings and roundtables; and facilitate member debate and activism across the UK.<\/p>\n

For our first blog, In \u2018The Land of Our Fathers\u2019, is Women\u2019s Health a Poor Relation?<\/strong><\/a>, we discuss female health inequalities and the issues that contribute to them.<\/p>\n

In our second, Endometriosis: A Problem Shared is a Problem Halved? We Hope so\u2026<\/strong><\/a>, we cover the barriers to diagnosis and care (Wales has the longest average diagnostic delay of the home nations at a staggering 9 years), as well as the work taking place to tackle them – including the development of the endometriosis.cymru website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

This is a positive time for female health in Wales, with the development of the Welsh Government’s 10-year Women and Girls’ Health Plan, but we must continue to ensure that patients’ voices are not only heard, but incorporated into the plan through co-production.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
