She has been recognised as a human rights defender, due to her work campaigning for better healthcare for women in Wales.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations Debbie, and thanks for all you do, very well deserved!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Who is making history today?<\/p>\n<p>100 years ago British women finally won the right to vote.*<\/p>\n<p>The incredible work of the suffragettes \u2013 ordinary women who stopped at nothing to get their voices heard \u2013 paved the way for a century of women\u2019s rights work in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The suffragette spirit is alive and well in the UK today. Women across the UK are still fighting for our rights. They stand up to racism, say no to sexism, call out homophobia, challenge corruption, help the vulnerable and much more.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve scoured the country to find these women human rights defenders and we want to celebrate their work.
