{"id":197645,"date":"2021-08-06T17:51:47","date_gmt":"2021-08-06T16:51:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/?p=10865"},"modified":"2025-05-21T15:39:40","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T14:39:40","slug":"bloody-brilliant-is-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/cy\/2021\/08\/06\/bloody-brilliant-is-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Bloody Brilliant is Launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Bloody-Brilliant.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-10866 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/2021\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Bloody-Brilliant-1024x536.jpg\" alt=\"Branding from Bloody Brilliant, the new period resource for young people in Wales\" width=\"1024\" height=\"536\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We are delighted that \u2018Bloody Brilliant\u2019, an online period health resource created by the young people of Wales for the young people of Wales, is live and on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Bloody Brilliant is delivered by Welsh Government and the WHIG (Women&#8217;s Health Implementation Group), NHS Wales and Social Change UK, with the ultimate aim of empowering young people so that they feel able to speak openly about periods, understand what\u2019s normal and when to seek medical help \u2013 and to support others to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Many of FTWW\u2019s members have experience of gynaecological heath conditions like endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, PMDD, fibroids, and heavy menstrual bleeding. They universally report that better education on menstrual health would have helped them to get a faster diagnosis and elicit support from friends, family, and schools. We were very pleased therefore that our members had the opportunity to contribute to focus groups leading up to the launch of Bloody Brilliant.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters will know that FTWW has successfully campaigned for the inclusion of menstrual wellbeing on Wales\u2019s school curriculum.
