Thursday March 10th saw representatives of both FTWW and British Heart Foundation Cymru called upon by the\u00a0Senedd’s Health and Social Care Committee to give evidence in support of a women’s health plan for Wales<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

FTWW and BHF Cymru have been co-facilitating a third sector coalition, made up of a number of Royal Colleges, specialist charities, and patients, in developing a vision for women and girls’ health in Wales which has a holistic, life-course approach and encompasses a range of physical and mental health issues, all which have a particular impact on women. On behalf of that Coalition, our two charities were pleased to be able to respond in detail to the Committee’s questions on a wide range of issues, such as the need for additional training for healthcare professionals and addressing the data gap which often means women’s particular health needs aren’t properly considered.<\/p>\n

FTWW is particularly keen to see the Committee support the co-production of any action plans developed by the Welsh Government, so that patient and patient advocates are directly involved in developing content and overseeing implementation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
