It also provides useful tips and tools for parents, carers, educators, and employers. The information, resources, and tools on the website can be accessed by anyone \u2013 you don\u2019t have to live in Wales to use them!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_193285\" style=\"width: 502px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-193285\" class=\"wp-image-193285\" src=\"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/EC-front-page-mock-e1711570434239.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of the Endometriosis Cymru website\" width=\"492\" height=\"641\" border=\"1px sold #eeeeee\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-193285\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenshot of the Endometriosis Cymru website<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p4\">Endometriosis Cymru is a collaborative project, initiated in\u00a0 2019 by the Welsh Government and NHS Wales with Cardiff University and Fair Treatment for the Women of Wales [FTWW], supported by Wales-based creative web design agency, Proper Design. We believe that by providing reliable and accessible information, we can empower individuals to better manage their condition and improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">The website <a href=\"http:\/\/endometriosis.cymru\/\"><span class=\"s1\">endometriosis.cymru<\/span><\/a> is fully bilingual in Welsh and English and provides information on the symptoms of endometriosis and the process for diagnosis in Wales with additional information on the ongoing management of the disease, tools and resources, and a wealth of guidance and links to available support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">In 2023, the project was awarded funding from <span class=\"s2\">Wales&#8217;s Minister for Social Justice<\/span> to develop the site further, enabling the creation of more resources and improved accessibility with help from Learning Disability Wales (LDW). These new developments include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li5\"><span class=\"s4\">expansion of the \u2018living with\u2019 section to include practical advice around work, education, and advocacy. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li5\"><span class=\"s4\">\u2018easy read\u2019 versions of the most important and relevant information following consultation with LDW, to ensure the site is as accessible as possible for those with diverse impairments and needs. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li5\"><span class=\"s4\">information on how to access help in Wales, including updates about the specialist endometriosis nurses. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p4\">We\u2019ve also developed a new online <b>symptom reporting tool<\/b> to make discussions about symptoms with your doctor easier. The Endometriosis Cymru Symptom Reporting Tool aims to help reduce the time that people are waiting to receive a diagnosis for symptoms that they suspect might be endometriosis.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_193293\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-193293\" class=\"wp-image-193293 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/srt-1024x768.png\" alt=\"The Endometriosis Cymru Symptom Reporting Tool\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" border=\"1px sold #eeeeee\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-193293\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Endometriosis Cymru Symptom Reporting Tool<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p4\">This user-friendly tool is fully bilingual and allows users to track key symptoms of endometriosis over multiple months or menstrual cycles to prepare for a conversation with their doctor.
