{"id":2540,"date":"2018-09-17T00:14:09","date_gmt":"2018-09-16T23:14:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/?p=2540"},"modified":"2018-09-17T00:14:09","modified_gmt":"2018-09-16T23:14:09","slug":"released-today-report-highlighting-woeful-lack-of-miscarriage-services-in-wales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/cy\/2018\/09\/17\/released-today-report-highlighting-woeful-lack-of-miscarriage-services-in-wales\/","title":{"rendered":"Released Today: Report Highlighting Woeful Lack of Miscarriage Services in Wales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In April 2018 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>FTWW<\/strong><\/span><\/a> was excited to announce that it would be supporting a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/miscarriage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>campaign<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to improve miscarriage care in Wales.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was launched by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/jessicas-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Jessica Evans<\/strong><\/span><\/a> from Denbighshire, North Wales, and includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/welsh-assembly-women-in-wales-deserve-better-miscarriage-support-from-the-welsh-nhs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>petition<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that currently stands at just under 2700 signatures.<\/p>\n<p>FTWW has been working with Jessica to draw up a&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Miscarriage-report-FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>report<\/strong><\/span><\/a> into the issues affecting women in Wales who suffer miscarriage. Members of our organisation have provided a highly valuable evidence base for the report, which makes the case for better miscarriage care in Wales. The report sets out what changes in care need to happen, and makes a number of key recommendations which will be discussed with the Health Minister\u2019s team in a meeting later this month.
