{"id":2581,"date":"2018-10-16T14:20:27","date_gmt":"2018-10-16T13:20:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/?p=2581"},"modified":"2018-10-16T14:20:27","modified_gmt":"2018-10-16T13:20:27","slug":"endometriosis-statement-from-the-cabinet-secretary-for-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/cy\/2018\/10\/16\/endometriosis-statement-from-the-cabinet-secretary-for-health\/","title":{"rendered":"Endometriosis: Statement from the Cabinet Secretary for Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Statement from Vaughan Gething, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a long time coming&#8230;.But we are absolutely thrilled to announce that Welsh Government has finally released its <a href=\"https:\/\/beta.gov.wales\/written-statement-publication-endometriosis-task-and-finish-group-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>statement<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on endometriosis.<\/p>\n<p>FTWW&#8217;s report <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Making-the-Case-for-Better-Endometriosis-Treatment-in-Wales-Word-PDF.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>&#8216;Making the Case for Better Endometriosis Care in Wales&#8217;<\/strong><\/span><\/a> prompted the Chief Executive of the NHS in Wales to establish a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/endometriosis-care-in-wales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Task and Finish group<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to review <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/endometriosis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>endometriosis<\/strong><\/span><\/a> services. As many of you may know already, FTWW was invited to represent patients on the group, and our CEO was instrumental in putting together its final report, along with Mr Richard Penketh, the group&#8217;s Chair and Cardiff&#8217;s Lead Endometriosis Specialist.<\/p>\n<p>The group&#8217;s comprehensive recommendations can be viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.wales\/sites\/default\/files\/publications\/2019-03\/endometriosis-care-in-wales-provision-care-pathway-workforce-planning-and-quality-and-outcome-measures.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>yma (saesneg yn unig)<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to working with the Women&#8217;s Health Implementation group on delivering the recommendations.
