{"id":2975,"date":"2019-04-10T04:04:08","date_gmt":"2019-04-10T03:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ftww.co.uk\/?p=2975"},"modified":"2019-04-10T04:04:08","modified_gmt":"2019-04-10T03:04:08","slug":"faecal-incontinence-report-to-welsh-government-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ftww.org.uk\/cy\/2019\/04\/10\/faecal-incontinence-report-to-welsh-government-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Faecal Incontinence Report to Welsh Government Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 57 page <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.wales\/sites\/default\/files\/publications\/2019-04\/report-of-the-welsh-task-and-finish-group-for-faecal-incontinence_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>report<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on the needs of (mainly) women and men suffering faecal incontinence has been published, accompanied by a <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.wales\/written-statement-publication-faecal-incontinence-task-and-finish-group-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">statement<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of intent from the Health Minister, Vaughan Gething.<\/p>\n<p>The report was the result of the efforts of a dedicated, Welsh Government funded, task and finish group on which FTWW member, Amy Marshall, represented the patient voice.<\/p>\n<p>We were also pleased to be able to supply the group with a short supporting report (featured in the appendices) outlining the experiences of our members. Specific recommendations included access to specialist pelvic physiotherapy, as well as sacral nerve stimulators which can help patients manage constipation and prevent incontinence.
