As part of BBC Radio Wales’ coverage of the petition to UK Parliament calling for statutory menstrual leave for people with endometriosis and adenomyosis, FTWW Engagement Coordinator, Dee, spoke to BBC Radio Wales about the importance of ensuring that disabled and chronically ill women and people registered female at birth – and their employers – are aware of existing legislation that can protect their employment rights and help them thrive in the workplace.

Draft Disabled People’s Rights Plan – Consultation Open

The consultation on Welsh Government’s upcoming Draft Disabled People’s Rights plan is now open. The plan, based on the work of the Disability Rights Taskforce (of which FTWW is a member organisation), sets out a 10-year ambition and the long-term outcomes the Welsh Government is working towards to ensure disabled people can flourish as equal members of Welsh society, and to challenge discrimination and prejudice.
