Our work in Wales
We work with women, girls and people registered female at birth, public bodies and service providers to eliminate health inequalities in Wales.
Our role
Information
We ensure the people we support have access to information so that they can understand their condition better and know what services they need.
Empowerment
Through peer support we empower our members to gain confidence and be better equipped to manage and navigate their healthcare.
Advocacy
We bring policy makers and service providers together with experts by experience, to ensure female voices are heard and can influence positive change in health and public service design and delivery.
What we do
Campaigning
As well as calling for health equality for women, girls and people registered female at birth in general, we also focus on a growing number of women’s health issues including endometroisis, menopause, PMDD and more…
Our community
Our growing community now numbers 10,000+ people and spans across online and offline platforms, with discussions covering a wide range of health-related issues that affect women, girls and those registered female at birth.
Services
We deliver training, talks, presentations and focus group to educate businesses and organisations on women’s health issues, and facilitate public and patient involvement and co-production.
Policy and research
FTWW advocates for change at policy level by developing manifestos, producing reports, taking part in consultations, advisory groups and research.
Our impact in Wales
FTWW may be a small charity but we have a big impact. From a growing online community, to significant media coverage and policy influence, we're constantly striving for health equality for women and girls in Wales. Find out more about our reach and impact:
