Volunteering

FTWW started out as a volunteer-led community and our volunteers remain at the heart of what we do now.

This page includes information about what our volunteers do, and how you can get involved.

Volunteering opportunities at FTWW

FTWW is a Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) and many of our supporters manage complex and debilitating health issues, so we understand that our volunteers’ time and energy may fluctuate over time. This is why we do not offer formal volunteering roles at present. However, we welcome everyone who would like to volunteer to support our mission to eliminate health inequalities in Wales.

What can you support us with?

Raising awareness

There are many ways you can help us raise awareness of the barriers to healthcare in Wales, including attending events, sharing our social posts and getting involved with media requests.

Fundraising for FTWW

The funds that our volunteers raise for FTWW help us keep campaigning and advocating for patients across Wales If you would like to do some fundraising for FTWW, please get in touch.

Taking part in surveys, focus groups and research

We want to ensure your opinions and experience are heard by the people who are working to improve healthcare in Wales.

Sharing your story

Lived experience is at the heart of what we do. By sharing your story on our website, you will help other people to understand their own health and how to get the treatment they need.
