Copies of the APPG’s report are laid out on a table

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is one of FTWW’s key campaigns and, as you’ll know from previous newsletters and updates, we are delighted to work closely with Verity, the PCOS Charity.

On behalf of FTWW, Volunteer Zoe recently attended the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on PCOS’s launch of their report at the Houses of Parliament.

The launch brought together parliamentarians, clinicians, patient advocates, charities, NHS leaders and policymakers to highlight the urgent need for reform in PCOS diagnosis, treatment and long-term care. The report sets out ten clear recommendations to reduce diagnostic delays, integrate care, expand mental health support and strengthen clinical training and public awareness.

Zoe described the event as ‘Humbling; there were many women in the room who shared similar experiences. There was a sense of finally being heard. I was glad to see my MP had got my invite and she was really encouraging and took FTWW leaflets. There were also other Welsh MPs and their teams in attendance. It was very much an all-party event.”

Diolch o galon, Zoe!
