On Wednesday 8 October, Charity Director, Debbie, and FTWW Chair, Willow Holloway, were delighted to be invited to participate in a 10-year ‘Strategic Intent’ event with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the Bevan Commission.
Speaking on a ‘Voices from the Community’ panel, they advocated for the need for a continuing focus on Women’s Health for the next ten years, not least as 80% of NHS Wales staff are female.
This was followed by a series of roundtable workshops on ‘areas for collaboration’; barriers & opportunities; next steps and commitment to action, including involvement in Women’s Health research.
A report on outcomes from the day and next steps will be published in December. This will form part of wider engagement with public, patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure that the health board’s 10-year strategy reflects and represents people’s priorities in north Wales.
