Lisa, Lara, Louise, and Dawn are inside the Senedd building, standing beside an FTWW banner. They are all smiling at the camera.

We were thrilled to attend the South Wales Menopause Community – MENOPT Event: ‘Shaping the Future of Menopause Support in Wales’ at the Senedd. Organised by Louise Herzog (Founder of MENOPT) and sponsored by Natasha Asghar MS, the event launched the South Wales Menopause Community Platform, a new regional initiative to bring more joined-up, inclusive menopause support across healthcare, workplaces and communities.

Alongside our own Louise, FTWW’s Volunteer & Community Coordinator, Menopause Champions Dawn, Lara, and Lisa did an impeccable job of running the FTWW information stand, giving out lots of resources and engaging with a range of guests and attendees.

As long-time campaigners on menopause, we were delighted to join so many others who are incredibly passionate about improving menopause care here in Wales. The event shared the vision, the platform in action, and the real stories that shape why this work matters, along with insights from patients, clinical and workplace leaders. The event also included a panel discussion, ‘From Fragmented to Connected’, community information stands (including FTWW’s) and holistic tasters for attendees to experience on arrival.

Our huge thanks to Louise and the South Wales Menopause Community for inviting us. Follow the Community here.
