FTWW’s webinar series for members continues, with February’s being a much-anticipated introductory session on how to be assertive. Coming up in March, we’ll be joined by Cambridge University researcher, Kate Sheridan, to explore the ‘good, the bad, and the ugly’ of Femtech.

Assertiveness

Friends of FTWW, Laura Teare and Steph Scragg, both with years of professional and lived expertise, guided participants through a range of practical strategies for navigating healthcare appointments, managing emotional responses, and communicating confidently with clinicians, employers, and wider support systems.

Participants praised the session for its ‘practical suggestions for real life situations’ and events that have ‘really helped me deal with my condition and accessing healthcare’.

Coming up: Femtech – 10 March

Increasingly, people are using digital – apps, trackers, wearables – to help them make sense of their symptoms or track their wellbeing, and ‘women’s health’ is no exception. In fact, FemTech (short-hand for technology for women’s health) is a huge and growing industry, ranging from period trackers to fertility apps to menopause platforms, many of which we source from app stores or websites.

But what do we really know about these tools? How are they collecting and using our data? Are they reliable? Are they value for money? Can they help us navigate the health and care we need? Join FTWW and Cambridge University researcher, Kate Sheridan, to explore the ‘good, the bad, and the ugly’ of FemTech in this one-hour webinar exclusively for FTWW Members on March 10th.

To view our webinars – and join other upcoming events – you just need to be a member of FTWW’s Facebook group so, if you’re not already a member or you know someone who might benefit from our support, please request to join here – please note, you must answer all joining questions and agree to the group rules.
