In April 2018 FTWW was excited to announce that it would be supporting a campaign to improve miscarriage care in Wales.
The campaign was launched by Jessica Evans from Denbighshire, North Wales, and includes a petition that currently stands at just under 2700 signatures.
FTWW has been working with Jessica to draw up a report into the issues affecting women in Wales who suffer miscarriage. Members of our organisation have provided a highly valuable evidence base for the report, which makes the case for better miscarriage care in Wales. The report sets out what changes in care need to happen, and makes a number of key recommendations which will be discussed with the Health Minister’s team in a meeting later this month. We hope to see positive action from Welsh Government on the back of our lobbying.

To show your support, please sign and share the petition.
Additionally, we would really appreciate if those affected could consider writing to their AM and MP, asking them to write to Vaughan Gething, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services, supporting the report’s recommendations.
Update:
Following on from the report’s release, the issue was raised in The Senedd by Leanne Wood, Leader of Plaid Cymru. Watch it on the video below.
